Hubballi: Residents of North Karnataka are bracing themselves for continued scorching temperatures as a weather report forecasts little relief in sight.

Dr. RH Patil, Nodal Officer GKMS Unit at UAS Dharwad, shared the grim news that the region, already grappling with severe heat waves, is unlikely to see a decrease in mercury levels over the next five days. In fact, certain areas may experience a further increase of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

According to Dr. Patil, dry weather conditions will persist, with no precipitation expected for the foreseeable future. Heatwave conditions are expected to intensify in isolated pockets of Kalburagi, Bagalkote, Bidar, and Koppal districts in North Karnataka over the next two days.

Over the next five days, the region can anticipate predominantly clear to partly cloudy skies, further exacerbating the heatwave situation.
